About me

Hi there! I’m James, a 38-year-old nutrition geek and flavor chaser living in the sunny foothills of Santa Cruz, California. My life has always been a vibrant mix of nature, wellness, and a deep-rooted curiosity about how what we drink can shape how we feel. I’ve spent the last 15 years blending, steeping, juicing, and fermenting my way through the wild, wonderful world of healthy beverages.

It started with a beat-up blender in my college dorm and a deep craving for something that didn’t come out of a vending machine. I still remember the first “green monster” I made—kale, banana, almond milk, and a misguided splash of cayenne pepper. It was a disaster, but it sparked something. I realized that crafting drinks was more than mixing ingredients; it was chemistry, creativity, and care all in one glass.

After college, I took a leap and studied holistic nutrition in Portland, where I also worked at a local juice bar that became my unofficial lab. That’s where I fell in love with cold-pressed juices, adaptogens, nut milks, and the magic of fermentation. I learned to brew kombucha (spoiler alert: I messed up the first batch so badly it exploded), and I started experimenting with shrubs, tonics, and teas that not only tasted amazing but also supported the body and mind.

Today, I spend my days creating recipes that nourish and energize—think golden turmeric lattes, spirulina smoothies, hibiscus agua fresca, and chia tonics with just the right zing of citrus. I love working with seasonal ingredients and always try to highlight local produce. There’s something deeply satisfying about knowing where your ingredients come from and what they’re doing for your body.

My philosophy is simple: healthy should never be boring. Every sip should bring joy, whether it’s a post-workout recovery blend or a calming herbal infusion before bed. I want my drinks to inspire people to slow down, listen to their bodies, and discover the delicious possibilities that lie in every glass.

I create for fellow health seekers, smoothie skeptics, curious sippers, and anyone who wants to feel a little better without sacrificing flavor. I don’t believe in perfection—just progress, play, and a lot of taste-testing along the way.

So pull up a chair (or a blender), and let’s raise a glass to feeling good—one sip at a time.
